I'm indifferent to the whole situation, so I couldn't care less. I don't go to woodie's room, never have. I know too much about his bs. I read this blog for entertainment purposes only. Someone in gio's room mentioned it a while back, and I enjoy reading the occasional post from someone too stupid to realize woodie is playing them - lol.
C'mon u woodie supporters (jock straps?), do ure thing for ure master - lol. And the rest of u, keep posting this blog in woodie's room. It makes for good reading here. Maybe someday, someone of consequence will read it and take some action. (But I doubt it - lol)

I finally caught onto woodie awhile ago, when I listen to him now he makes me SICK, what a scammer and BS'er he is, to bad so many traders listen to that loser....
how many moderators has woodie banned over the last few yrs, probably quite a few, not to mention the traders that are sick of his bs...
What Woodie really needs to do, is open a small account, somewhere that allows investors read only access to the account, preferably with PAMM facilities, so the small account is traded exactly as his own account. Let him trade it for a week, and allow people to see results. I think PFG might even offer such a set up.
Perhaps everyone could contribute a few bucks to get the account funded. If the accounts showing a profit, at the end of a month, send the profits to charity.
If he's not profitable.... well it wouldnt really surpise me :-)
What has woodie got to lose ?, everyone wins, he proves he walks the walk, his naysayers get proved wrong, and the charities he promotes make a few bucks.

Come to think of it, if he has such a successful system, he should be a billionaire by now, and would not be using cheap stuff for trading, not too long ago, he was using sierra charts with ib feed to save money. Think about it, if you had a successful strategy would anybody that successful do that.
If also one had such a successful strategy that constantly made money, why is it then that he comes up with a new strategy every time, he has a TAL.
Lately after his fiasco and farce when he held a webinar at cme, his membership declined to around 250 at his basic room including his many dummy's (not real but duplicate log ons). Thus he now is introducing yet another test method to boost up his membership, supposedly free (Good Laugh on that one).

Now you can draw your own conclusions as to why he is trying another pitiful attempt to develop yet another pattern, if he was successful all along ???
Finally, W is quite cagey, as he usually uses voice, but I finally have something he has written which clearly is libelous, I will try to dig it up and post it in a few days, and hope that the fella he slandered will sue him and teach him a big lesson, as well as take him to the cleaners.
What is the purpose of a TAL? In the beginning (or at least in the first few years of Woodie's chatroom, there were conventions, gatherings, meetings, whatever you wanted to call them, culminating with the Vegas meeting in December of 2003.
After that it was discussed in the room how much people wanted to meet with Woodie and trade live with him - "trade along" with him. Instead of people going to AZ to meet with woodie, he "volunteered" to go to whatever city had about 30 people who would pop for about $250 each to take care of expenses and the remainder would go to the Make-a-Wish foundation.
Has Woodie ever actually traded at one of these things? Not a chance. It was asked of Woodie at one TAL if the doors could be closed, all computers shut off, except Woodie's and only he would be able to trade and the attendees would just watch. Of course woodie, claimed this was not possible for "legal reasons." To a person, everyone there knew that was BS. Just a few of those people have ever returned to Woodie's room. I've never been back. This TAL took place after the West Palm Beqach TAL, where Gio traded live for a full day and was quite impressive. She must have had 30-40 people crowded around her watching. Woodie was pissed. It wasn't long afterward that she left woodie's room as eventually all moderators have found Woodie to not be what he claimed to be.
The only moderator who stuck with Woodie, was Tony, and that's because he is the one who actually controls the web site and taught woodie how to take full advantage of all the suckers in the room. He's got a nice little thing going with the compensation involved in the web site click thrus. Those ads aren't there because of the goodness of Tony's heart. This doesn't even include the free world travel Woodie and Tony, have charged to the TAL's (and don't forget Tony's wife - someone had to collect at the door, and should of course be flown first class with all expenses paid, including Tony's bar tab.)
But I digress - anyway, a TAL was supposed to be the attendees watching Woodie trade, and it was always mentioned how they would make back their money spent on attending, because they'd trade right with Woodie. The first TAL in Chicago showed everyone that was not to be. Woodie walked around and pointed to potential set ups, but never took one. About an hour or two into it, no one was even attempting to trade. It became just another meeting of people from the room. Those attending would later claim it was worth it just to put a face to names in the room. That was the reason I went to 3 of the TAL's - I had friends in the room and this was just a social gathering. I don't regret a minute of that. I do regret that my money went into Woodie and Tony's pockets - I regret I didn't send it to MAW directly and arranged my own meetings with friends from the room.
As they say, there is nothing more expensive than regret.

I appreciate the comments about my post on the TAL's. But that Tucker report is really a great unbiased synopsis of what the problem is with CCI itself - I congratulate the author for the time and effort that went into it.
I think the gist of what I was trying to say is that in the beginning Woodie generally was trying to help - not just others, but himself. I think he was looking for a good trading system and the room was more of a cooperative situation where there was an exchange of ideas and the comradery of a chat room lessened the loneliness of online trading.
Then along came the prospect of profitting from the sheer number of the members of the room. Tony was never a great trader but he saw the opportunity - Woodie just went along for the ride as he attained guru status - he became exactly what he was warning all of us to beware of. So much of what has happened is because Woodie was not honest enough to just admit his motives. If he had just said, that the room is now meant to be a profitable venture for him, and people could take it or leave it, I don't think too many people would have faulted him for that. Instead he took the route of trying to fool everyone. Most of us realized it and left. It's just unfortunate that there are those who still don't see it and there are newer members who haven't experienced it - yet.
Unless this blog and articles like the "Tucker Report" are brought to the attention of the people in the room, there will be a continuous trail of lost traders. The trading group from Chicago did extensive testing of the CCI and also found it had far less than stellar results and soon thereafter disbanded. All the while, Woodie continued to tout that CCI was all that was needed.
I think he meant that CCI was all he needed to keep the room going, and for Tony to keep his web site going. You can bet that PFG backs the room because they found a cheap means of marketing their brokerage. I don't think Neil is there because he enjoys the company of inexperienced traders. But, hey, to each his own.
Oh yeah, it also meant free travels around the world for Woodie and Tony (and wife) at the expense of people who trusted him.
I went to Woodies TAL in Seattle and later Dr. Bobs TAL in NJ.The accomodations where good at both but Doc's cost was over $200 less and he gave back refunds on unused costs.Never saw Woodie trade or call out entries.But got to talk to gb007 which was worth the trip by itself and watched Nicktrader trade live.At Dr Bobs both he and Dharma were trading live.The NJ also had alot of experienced traders and I learned alot watching and talking to them.
No need for so many words - however good. We all know Woodie is a freaking two-headed snake like the picture posted shows.
If you guys really think he trades futures, or you really think even GB trades futures - you are highly mistaken.

The negativity here needs to stop. This person is likely losing money and needs someone to blame. I have had only good experiences, Woodie is as professional as they come.
This whole idea off CCI being a leading indicator and the implication that it is the only and best leading indicator is just nonsense. If you are new to trading and you heard this early in your exposure to trading fundamentals, you might just believe it is so. It is not true and CCI is just one of many indicators that are classified as leading by organizations and people that study and document these sort of things.
Most oscillators, and yes CCI is nothing but an oscillator, are classified as leading indicators. Others in this group include RSI, Stochastics, Ergodics and the lowly CCI of course. They are all called leading indicators simply because they all have overbought and oversold regions in their plotting and will give buy or sell signals as they move out of these areas before a new trend starts. The problem with them all is that they will give signals, but WHICH signal is the real change in trend?
The other type of indicators is classified as lagging indicators and will only signal a change after a new trend is in place. These are moving averages, MACD, Bollinger bands, etc
Have you ever seen or taken a trend line break in CCI or a break in a ghost pattern and found out that the break you took was not the real break? As these leading indicators give off signals that are not the REAL signal, they can stay overbought or oversold.
The real problem with all of this is the incredible use of ATF (After the fact.) charts and analysis to promote the exclusive use of CCI. What you do not see in these ATF charts, unless you look real closely and relive the right edge mentally, are the fits and starts that often occur before the clear as a bell signal in the ATF chart. The little bumps and blips in that NO PRICE chart represent REAL PRICE movements of sometimes extraordinary size.
Add to this the use of a small period (14/6) setting, and you will get signals galore. Oh yes, you could use a longer time frame chart, like a 5 minute and get less signals, but you will still get false signals and the longer time frame has just given you false signal that much later. You are damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Your only choice is to develop a trading system around this stuff and take every signal and play the odds with stops and targets. etc. Well if that was so easy to do, then there would be an auto system made for this stuff and you could plug it in and go to the beach and make a ton of money. Hmmmmm….. did you ever wonder why that hasn’t happened?
Learn price, learn support and resistance levels on price, learn money management and set profit goals and leave the rest of this nonsense to the scalpers and newbies whose money you will be taking.
Trading successfully requires overcoming instinct. Very few are able to do this and that is why so many fail. When you learn to go with whatever the market gives you and stop trying to impose your will on the market, and stop guessing where the market will go next, is when you will start making money. For most people this is almost impossible, and that is why so few com make money consistently. Successful trading is 85% discipline and money management and 15% charts and indicators. Work on money management and discipline. You can make money with MM and Flipping a coin (which is 50% over time). Over the last year my avg. win rate trading 6 CCI Patterns together on the ER has been consistently 71%. I did very well, Thank You

W gave himself away badly today. He has always claimed that the Rooms was free, and everything was free, because 1. The CCI worked as it was revolutionary and 2. He was a great trader and 3. If he wanted money, all he did was throw on a few extra contracts and thus he did not need to charge anybody anything, therefore everything was benevelenty free to his beloved constantly changing faithful. And then suprisingly today this is what happened in the Advanced Chat Room today.

A friend of mine said he received a letter from a lawyer who is bringing a class action suit against Woodie. He said it had something to do with Make A Wish.
He was not interested and the lawyer instructed him to mail the letter back to him. So he does not have a copy.
